Sealy and Serta are two very popular brands. And for good reason. Both are known for the production of high quality mattresses. They’re both pretty old, Seeley’s over a hundred and thirty and Sert’s over eighty. And both have their own unique technology. Even if you can decide which brand is the best, each brand has its own advantages. Then let’s do it to Seeley and Searta.
By the way, if you want to see what I think are the best mattress brands, you can do so via this link.
Anyway, let’s make a comparison.

What can Serta offer? Grey mattresses are equipped with several unique technologies. These include Pillo-Fill, FireBlocker Fiber and Serta PillowSoft Foam. If you want to know more, you can read my report on Serta mattresses. You can also go directly to their own website. In short, Pillo-Fill is a breathable Serta fiber that can regulate the temperature (keeps the mattress cooler in summer but warmer in winter) and is used as a filler. The FireBlocker fibre is fire resistant and does not require any fire retardants. It is used as fire resistance and makes Serta mattresses safer without being harmful to health. Serta® PillowSoft is simply a very flexible foam.
You can follow this link if you would like to know more about the other technologies Serta uses to produce its mattresses.
Sealy does not, however, waive certain characteristics related to its own design. They use OptiCool®, OptiSense® and OptiCore™ technologies, among others. Unlike Serta, however, they are not founded by Sealy itself, but by affiliated companies. Not that we care. The important thing is – this is what technology is and how it improves your sleep, if at all.
OptiCool and OptiSense are brands of gel foam for storage equipment. However, OptiCool foam is mainly used for the cooling effect, while OptiSense foam is used for better support. These two types of foam are often used together in Sealy mattresses, so that their best properties can be used without disadvantages. OptiCore foam should be clear It is generally used for the bottom layer to support the whole bed.
But those aren’t the only technologies Seeley uses. They make extensive use of SolidEdge™ and ActiveFlex™ technologies, among others. SolidEdge™ prevents edges from breaking under pressure and ActiveFlex™ is a foam specially developed for shock absorption.
What more can be said about the two figures? You may be interested to know that Serta® has been approved by the NSF (National Sleep Foundation). Sealy does not stimulate her collaboration with NSF in the same way as Serta, but they have worked with the Foundation in the past.
As far as products are concerned, Serta mainly produces hybrid mattresses, which are usually made of foam and inner spring. However, Sealy mainly produces mass-produced mattresses: Foam, latex and spring mattresses. Both companies make their mattresses quite expensive. I could probably say that one is more expensive, but it really depends on the price of a certain individual mattress. Some of their mattresses are outrageously expensive, but some are more than available.
What is really interesting is that both brands seem to share the belief in the reinforced edges of spring mattresses, hybrid or otherwise. Mattresses of both brands are available with extra support at the edges. If you think about it, it makes sense to use pocket reels. In most cases, mattresses whose rolls are rolled up separately do not provide any additional support at the edges. For this reason, the excessive pressure exerted by the seated person causes the coils to sink. The same applies to the pressure exerted by the bedroom as they approach the edges of the mattress.
However, this is not a problem for the mattresses produced by these two brands.
Both offer a long-term guarantee, which in Serta’s case is twice as long. Although that makes everything better, let’s not forget Seeley. Finally, they make rolls for their mattresses made of titanium alloy. Although the guarantee is not as long as Serta’s, titanium alloys are known worldwide for their strength. In addition, a long-term guarantee is less compulsory, if only in the event of an accident, and the longer the mattress is present, the greater the chance that the guarantee will lapse due to an accident.
Is it sufficient to make an informed decision? I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. It’s probably for you. Maybe you’d like to know more. We all have our own needs and demands, don’t we?
But if you want to know more, you can do it now. If you want to know more about Serta mattresses, follow this link. If you are more interested in Sealy mattresses, you can follow this link.
I’m sure with that knowledge you’ll make the right choice. A mattress is a very important purchase and it is best not to make any mistakes at the time of purchase.
